Hornets owner Shinn to have prostate surgery

scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday to have his prostate removed after
being diagnosed with cancer last November.
The procedure will be performed by Dr. Patrick Walsh at the Johns Hopkins
Medical Institution in Baltimore.
Shinn has been the owner of the Hornets since their inaugural season of
1988-89, when they were located in Charlotte. He then moved the franchise to
New Orleans, beginning with the 2002-03 season.
