Eskimos sign WR Mitchell among numerous roster moves

Edmonton, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Edmonton Eskimos on Wednesday added a
former NFL wide receiver to their roster by signing Marko Mitchell.
A seventh round pick of the Redskins in the 2009 NFL draft. The 6-foot-3, 218-
pounder recorded four receptions for 32 yards in 10 games during his rookie
campaign.
He was waived by Washington in May and spent the preseason with Detroit and
Minnesota. The Vikings released Mitchell on August 31.
The Eskimos also released offensive tackle Calvin Armstrong, wide
receiver/returner Tremayne Kirkland and wide receiver Kevin Wuthrich.
Armstrong, who came to Edmonton as a free agent in 2008, started in nine games
this season. The Washington State product played in almost every game as a
member of the Eskimos.
In three games (one start) this year, Kirkland had five kickoff returns for
113 yards, three punt returns for 29 yards and one missed field goal return
for 22 yards.
Wuthrich spent all of 2009 and 2010 on the practice roster.
Linebacker Leon Joe and wide receiver Nate Binder were added to the practice
roster.

Mens NCAA Basketball Tournament odds
